It's hard to believe that summer is already here! Weddings, graduations and new babies are just a few reasons that many of us create new quilts. We're able to put all our love into every stitch of the gifts we make for others. Many new fabrics and patterns are coming out everyday to keep us all motivated.
In tough times, we seem to be even more drawn to the comfort of handmade items that show our love. During the depression of the 1930's some of the most beautiful quilts were created from leftovers and scraps. Quilters found ways to brighten their everyday life then, as we do now. We quilters are a tough, resilient bunch and we will get through whatever difficulties we may be experiencing and be stronger for it! Keep on quilting!! |
